E-Learning: Inspection of electrical equipment - NEN 3140

In this course you will learn how to inspect electrical equipment on 230V as well as machines on 400V according to EN 50110-1 & NEN 3140. As well as extension cables and reels.

The course is practical, and several videos will teach you how to conduct inspections in a practical manner. The course also covers the included inspection report (in Word format). This report can be found in the downloads section, along with the course materials for reference. You don't need to order them separately. A referral form is also available for you as an inspector, and we explain how to formally arrange this.

Course content:

The course consists of several videos that clearly explain the material. After watching the videos, you can take the (online) exam, and upon successful completion, you will automatically receive a certificate.

The study load is approximately 3 hours.

• Difference between Class I, II and III equipment
• What does the visual inspection consist of?

• Explanation of the measurements, what do you measure and how do you do it?
• Performing the measurements with a measuring instrument
• What are the approval and rejection criteria?
• Practical tips for using various measuring instruments
• Completing the inspection report
• Checking and flow of earth leakage circuit breakers
• How to determine the inspection frequency
• How to be formally appointed as an inspector

The course ends with an (online) test and certificate.
