If you'd like to prepare your company's CE files and could use some assistance, this training is perfect for you. It's a one-on-one training course that we conduct at your company. This allows us to thoroughly familiarize ourselves with the Directives/Regulations applicable to the product groups.

The training begins with a four-hour intake interview where we'll gain insight into your current situation and how things are currently set up. We'll then schedule five sessions.

With certificate

The training concludes with the 'CE Compliance Officer' certificate and provides you with the knowledge and skills to independently set up and maintain new CE files.

Program

The Five meetings (usually) look like this:

1. After the intake, we'll create a PowerPoint presentation outlining your products/machines/installations and the requirements they must meet. It's also helpful to invite other colleagues with indirect CE involvement to this presentation. This ensures everyone is on the same page. After this meeting, we'll develop a legal framework for the product groups, outlining the legal requirements they must meet. We'll send this document a few days after the first meeting and discuss it at the second. The legal framework will also address any relevant harmonized standards.

2. At the second meeting, we'll discuss the legal framework and provide additional training on the specific Directives, Regulations, and any standards that are relevant to you. For example, if the PED, Machinery Directive (and Regulation), etc., are relevant to you and you lack detailed knowledge in that area, we'll brush up on it at this meeting. If your colleagues are also interested, simply invite them.

3. At the third meeting, we determine the safety requirements for each product group and whether harmonized standards should be applied. We will also consider whether or not you need to involve a Notified Body. (Our training program is deliberately not affiliated with a Nobo to ensure our independence.)

4. At the fourth meeting, we will review the existing (technical) documentation. We will look at how this is currently organized and assess its content. Recommendations will also be made on how this can be improved and made more practical.

5. During the fifth meeting, we will review the user manuals, the EC Declarations or Declarations of Conformity, and the type plates with you. We will look at how these are currently organized and filed, as well as check their content and make recommendations. This meeting will also address who will sign the Declarations: will you or management sign them? If you are instructed to do so, we will draw up an agreement to ensure it is legally sound.

In fact, the program is a combination of one-on-one training and advice, but certainly also a hands-on process. By the end, we also want you to have made significant progress in CE compliance, so that you can continue independently after completing the training.

The meetings take place at your company, so other colleagues are welcome to attend as well. We often see people from purchasing, engineering, QA, QC, technical services, etc., attend one or more of these meetings.
